School’s Roinn B Semi-Final

(Written by Ben Challoner and Stevie Wemyss) Last Tuesday morning we played Tullogher-Rosbercon in the Roinn B semi-final. We won 6-7 to 3-7. We are now in the final this Saturday in Nowlan Park. We are playing Castlecomer. Throw in is at 11:45. We would appreciate your support . Come along and cheer us Super Blues!!!!


The Country Cup Final, 16th June 2012

(Written by David Griffin) Our school hurling team beat Ballyhale emphatically last Saturday. The final score 5-12 to 0-5 in a game where Thomastown pulled ahead after a tight first half. Captain Ned Kirwan lifted the Country Cup for the first time in Thomastown’s history.


The Portlaoise Soccer Game

Badminton News

Club Handball Una, Gordon, Daragh and I won the badminton club final in late March. We played and won all of our matches against St Mary’s. We played singles, doubles and mixed doubles. We had a great time playing all the matches. We were awarded our trophies and we thanked St Mary’s for coming down to play us. Gordon (The captain) read a speech.

Thomastown Boys Win the Country Cup!!! Dec 2011

On Christmas week, it had to take 70 minutes to separate Thomastown and Tullogher-Rosbercon. Right from the go, the teams were evenly matched. Red Bulls V Kerry Football Final, Dec 2nd 2011

This years champions are the Red Bulls!!! It wasn’t easy….. especially the final! Both teams were able to pick off their scores. Roinn A Boy’s Gaelic Football Final V Dicksboro

It was a thrilling encounter between Thomastown and St. Canice’s on Saturday last. St. Canice’s were hoping to get their 10-in-a-row victory and if it was not for our goalkeeper Mikey Murphy they could have won! Points from David Griffin, Rory Monks, Ned Kirwan, Colm Whelan and a great goal from Stephen Wemyss really changed the game. The final score was 1-7 to 0-4

Girl’s Football Final, Nov 16th, 2011

Congrats to U10’s Hurling Team

Congratulations to our U10 hurling team who had a great victory over Bennettsbridge in the final of the U10 blitz held in Thomastown on Sunday last, Sept 25th. Well done lads!


Congrats to U10’s Camogie team!

Congrats to the U10’s Girl’s Camogie team who won the 2011 tournament in Danesfort last Saturday, 24th September. They defeated Danesfort on the score of 3-2 to 1-1. Well done ladies!!!


U9’s/ U10’s Hurling Blitz
