On Christmas week, it had to take 70 minutes to separate Thomastown and Tullogher-Rosbercon. Right from the go, the teams were evenly matched. Tullogher, taking an early lead, looked dangerous in front of goal. With 3 minutes left, Tullogher were 3 points up. Stephen Wemyss finished a great play under pressure and Jack Barcoe nearly winning the game, shaving the post. But in extra time Thomastown really showed their skill and fitness, as they scored 14 points in extra time to win the match.
Captain David Barron gave a great speech, dedicating the win to David O’ Keeffe.
