Thomastown’s Fantastic Mr. Fox!

Patsy Gibbons and his devoted vixen Grainne have become local celebrities in Thomastown in Co Kilkenny after he came to her rescue almost 5 years ago. Patsy, who runs an unofficial refuge for birds and animals at his cottage, took in Grainne as a cub when she was found abandoned, malnourished and close to death. Our School Garden Project

A special thanks must be given to the hard-working parents and staff who were busy getting started on our school garden on Friday last (March 2nd)  They were busy weeding, digging, raking, and filling our new vegetable beds with soil; our beds are now ready for planting!!! Thomastown Boys Win the Country Cup!!! Dec 2011

On Christmas week, it had to take 70 minutes to separate Thomastown and Tullogher-Rosbercon. Right from the go, the teams were evenly matched. Roinn A Boy’s Gaelic Football Final V Dicksboro

It was a thrilling encounter between Thomastown and St. Canice’s on Saturday last. St. Canice’s were hoping to get their 10-in-a-row victory and if it was not for our goalkeeper Mikey Murphy they could have won! Halloween 2011 at St Mary’s

The Education of Boys in Thomastown

St Mary’s get the Green Flag!

WE ARE NOW OFFICIALLY A GREEN SCHOOL!!!! On Tuesday, 3rd May, the pupils and staff at St Mary’s N. S. were delighted to hear that they had been awarded with their first Green Flag! Well done to everyone in the school for their huge efforts in helping to receive this award.
