After many years of blood, sweat and tears, we are finally ready to reinstate the swimming area at Thomastown Weir. Thomastown Community River Trust (TCRT) will be holding a final clear up of the site on Thursday 2nd October from 9.00 am so please come along and help if you can (bring garden tools, strimmers etc!). We plan to flood the swimming area at 3.00 pm on Friday 3rd October. This is a truly momentous and historic moment for Thomastown, and the culmination of the project should be well worth seeing. We will be holding a formal opening of the area shortly. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this project.
