3rd Class School Trip Reports on their Fota Wildlife Experience, June 2014

Our Chicks Have Hatched!

There was tremendous excitement throughout the school today as a number of chicks hatched from their eggs. We watched the eggs wobble and we heard the chirping from within the egg. It was amazing to watch them peak their beaks through the eggshell, finally breaking free! After the chicks hatched they were allowed to dry off and fluff up in the incubator before removing

Our Chicks are Almost Hatched!

Don’t forget to take a peek at our 13 fertilised incubated eggs situated outside Mrs Walsh’s office. The eggs are due to hatch any day now on day 20 or 21. Badminton Blitz Success for the Boys, May 2014

A huge congratulations to our boys who won out the schools badminton blitz held in the Watershed on Thursday, 8th May. What a fantastic win! 


The Easter Bunny Visits our School

Silver Lining for Thomastown, Dec 2013

The opening race of the day was the U11 girls and Thomastown’s Áine Kirwan had the race of her life, going with the leaders and storming home to take silver for the second year

Christmas Play Rehersals, Dec 2013

Well done to all the teachers and children who worked hard and took part in Christmas plays this year, especially the Junior Infants in Room 1, 2 and 3, who took to the stage for their very first performance. Everybody did a SUPER job!


Little Red Kettle Theater Perform at St Mary’s

The Little Red Kettle Theater Company took to the stage in St Mary’s to perform a play called ‘The Girl Who Was Useful’.  The play was fantastic and was thoroughly enjoyed by children of all ages. Once again the actors invited the children to interact throughout the play and some were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to perform alongside the actors themselves.
