Christmas Assembly at St Mary’s, 2022

Well done to all the children, from Junior Infants, right up to Sixth class, who participated in the Christmas Assembly this year. The children were fantastic, each performing something unique. Thomastown’s Senior Camogie Champions Visit St Mary’s

Thomastown are the new Kilkenny Senior Camogie champions, following a one-point victory over Dicksboro in Saturday’s decider in Freshford last weekend. A late point from Eva Hynes was the crucial score as they pulled off an incredible victory over the seemingly unstoppable Dicksboro team. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all the team. The O’ Duffy Cup comes to St Mary’s, Oct 2022

There was great excitement in St Mary’s today as Katie Power and Sinéad O’ Keeffe brought the O’ Duffy cup to our school. The children sported their black n’ amber in support of the girls. Kilkenny claimed All-Ireland Senior Camogie title glory after a thrilling battle with Cork at Croke Park last August. St Mary’s go for 4th Green School’s Flag for Travel

Green School’s Notice May 2022: Travel As you are aware, St. Mary’s NS has been successfully engaged in An Taisce’s Green-Schools programme for many years. We are extremely proud of all our achievements to date!  We are currently working towards our 4th flag for Travel. Both our Fourth Classes are currently undertaking a ‘Cycle Right’ course.  They are learning and using the safety skills

World Book Day 2022

We had great fun celebrating World Book Day in our school. Everyone made a great effort to get dressed up as their favourite characters. We chatted about different books, authors and illustrators and read lots of stories! Everyone received a €1.50 voucher to put towards their favourite book too!
