Cake Sale Success, 2016

The 2016 Cake Sale was a big hit. There were so many fun things to do. Out on the field you could soak Ellie with wet sponges for a small fee. There were hurling and handball targets, shoot at a target, an obstacle course and pony rides. There were go-karts to race around the roundabout, games such as ‘Guess the Teacher’, ‘Pin the Nose on Olaf’, face painting, a raffle, guess how many sweets in the jar and guess the teddy’s name. You could buy slushies, popcorn, jellies, milkshakes, cakes, buns, waffles, pancakes and ice-creams in the kitchen! The 6th class teachers, Mr. Delahunty, Mr. Hogan and Mr. Roberts, and their classes worked very hard to organise the big event which took place over two days. The children at St Mary’s really enjoyed the experience. It was not only fun, it was great fundraising for the school. Well done to everyone who helped make it happen!
